Marathon Petroleum Q2 Earnings Soar on Strong Performance; Increases Repurchase Amount

Marathon Petroleum ran well during the second quarter to capitalize on robust marketing conditions, increasing adjusted earnings to $5.7 billion from $437 million a year ago. Adjusted EBITDA, excluding discontinued Speedway earnings from 2021, improved to $9.1 billion from $1.9 billion a year ago.
