Siemens Healthineers Gets 20-Year Belfast Hospital Contract
By Adria Calatayud
Siemens Healthineers has entered into a 20-year agreement with the Royal Victoria Hospital, the German healthcare company said Wednesday.
The company didn't disclose financial details, but said the agreement is worth a multi-million euro or pound amount.
The agreement with the hospital--part of Belfast Health and Social Care Trust--is to streamline clinical workflows and boost patient care across Belfast and surrounding areas in Northern Ireland, the company said. After a previous equipment-service contract came to an end, the trust sought a new partner to provide, maintain and replace more than 650 assets from different vendors, Siemens Healthineers said.
