Release Notes 08-29-24
Screener Updates
- Updated the screener to add Normalized Return on Invested Capital (ROIC) as ROIC is an important measure to show how efficiently a company is using investors’ funds to generate income. It is also a key input to determining whether or not a company has an economic moat.
- Added Total Yield which is the summation of the dividend yield and buyback yield. While many companies may not pay a dividend, they could still return a great deal of cash to shareholders through share repurchases, which may result in having a higher total yield than another company that does pay a dividend.
- Changed Return on Assets and Return on Equity to the Normalized versions as using normalized net income in this calculation gives a better measure of the datapoint as it removes items that are unusual and non-recurring
- Moved Price/Fair Value to the Morningstar Ratings section, out of the Valuation section
- Removed the "Search Securities" heading making the search by keywords more visible
