Allstate Expects Tough Q2

Allstate announced some of its second-quarter underwriting results, and the numbers paint a tough picture for the company's near term. While we had already expected difficult year for Allstate given industry trends in the personal auto insurance markets, these results suggest the company may struggle a bit more than we had expected. However, after reviewing our forecast, we remain comfortable with our $125 fair value estimate, which we will maintain, along with our no-moat rating.
