When wide-moat ANZ Group paused trading on the ASX this morning, we suspected bad news on the bond trading scandal was incoming, a likely contributor to ANZ’s share price underperformance relative to peers in recent months. That cloud will hang around for a little longer, with ANZ instead providing welcome news on its capital position.
