Vladimir Demine stepped down as a named manager on Morgan Stanley International Equity and Morgan Stanley Global Franchise and its related vehicles outside the US on June 27, 2024. He will retire from the firm on Aug. 30, 2024. Demine, who also serves as head of environmental, social, and governance investing for the London-based international equity team, joined Morgan Stanley in 2009 and became a portfolio manager in 2019. Demine’s exit comes within a year of Nathan Wong’s departure in August 2023, but the team is still formidable. Lead manager William Lock remains in place, as do seven other experienced managers and a handful of dedicated analysts. The Above Average People rating and Morningstar Medalist Ratings of the strategies remain intact.
