New Enhancements to Stock Quote Pages

With this summer’s updates to Watchlists, Screener, and Portfolios firmly in the rearview, we’re gearing up for even more ways to help you evaluate investments with an expert eye. In the months ahead, we’ll be focusing on helping you better understand both your current and potential investments with enhancements to Morningstar Investor and Morningstar.com that will make your experience more relevant and personal.

To kick off this effort, we’ve updated our stock quote pages, both within Investor and on Morningstar.com. Quote pages on Morningstar.com now have a new, streamlined design that puts important information center stage, so it’s easier to understand a stock’s potential, compare it to peers, and get Morningstar’s take. We’ve also added two new features that better connect you to your holdings and goals so you can make more informed decisions.

Instantly understand your exposure to a stock

Know your personal level of exposure to a stock as you’re researching it. If a stock is in your portfolios or watchlists, either as an individual stock or held through a fund, your exposure to it will surface at the top of the page; no need to navigate to individual portfolios or watchlists.

You can use this feature alongside our independent ratings and analysis to help you understand the role a stock already plays or might play in your portfolio. And your paid subscription gives you exclusive access to more key insights within quote pages, including the Morningstar Fair Value Estimate, Analyst Reports, and Bulls Say/Bears Say, to further aid your analysis.

Customize data for a more personal view

You can now customize key statistics that appear within quote pages on Morningstar.com, so you can focus on the metrics that best fit your needs and goals. These include Morningstar-exclusive criteria, including stock style box, economic moat, and fair value estimate, and financial and performance information such as total return, dividend rates, EBIDTA, and interest coverage. Your preferences will remain active until you sign out.
