Daimler Truck Appoints Eva Scherer as CFO
By David Sachs
Daimler Truck said Eva Scherer will become chief financial officer after the death of Jochen Goetz last year.
The German truck and bus maker said Scherer, formerly an executive vice president at Siemens, will start April 1. The contract is for three years.
"In addition to professional expertise, we placed particular emphasis on open-mindedness, diversity, potential and enthusiasm to drive change," Joe Kaeser, chairman of the supervisory board, said regarding the search. "Scherer has shown these attributes in a convincing manner."
