Defense Department Awards Oshkosh $1.54 Billion Tactical Vehicle Contract

Oshkosh was awarded a $1.54 billion contract for its heavy tactical vehicles.
The Defense Department said Tuesday that work locations and funding will be determined with each order. The fixed price with economic-price-adjustment contract has an estimated completion date of Aug. 19, 2029.
The Army solicited bids via the internet, with one received, it said.
The Oshkosh, Wis., defense company's heavy tactical vehicles include the Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck A4, Heavy Equipment Transporter, Logistics Vehicle System Replacement, Palletized Load System and Wheeled Tanker.
