BASF Prepares Potential Agricultural Solutions Unit IPO
By Helena Smolak
BASF is preparing for a potential listing of its agricultural solutions unit as part of the company's restructuring efforts and focus on its core businesses.
The German chemical giant said Thursday that a minority share listing of its agro unit is an option, and that it aims to complete its legal and resource planning separation of the business by 2027.
In addition, BASF is exploring opportunities for collaboration on its Battery Materials segment and aims to reduce risk in this area given slower electric vehicle demand. Further, the company will continue to invest in its standalone businesses, it said.
