Company Report

Rising Equity Markets and Improved Flows Have Been Lifting Franklin Templeton's AUM

Franklin Templeton has historically had the capital to effect change but has, in our view, been lackluster about attacking deficiencies in its operations, especially when addressing its poor investment performance. While the current management team has been far more aggressive about shaking things up, meaningful changes in research and investment processes and subsequent improvements in performance will take some time.
