Hilton to Install Tesla EV Chargers at 2,000 Hotels
By Will Feuer
Hilton Worldwide Holdings said it has struck an expanded deal with Tesla that will see the hotel company install up to 20,000 electric-vehicle chargers at some 2,000 hotels across the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
Hilton said it will start installing the universal wall chargers, which the companies said are compatible with any North American model EV, in early 2024. The hotel company said travelers are increasingly interested in having access to EV chargers.
"A key priority for Tesla Charging is installing low-cost, convenient AC charging anywhere electric vehicles are parked for more than an hour or two," said Rebecca Tinucci, senior director of charging infrastructure at Tesla.
