Trending: Inditex Posts Surge in 2Q Profit, Sales
0953 GMT - Zara owner Inditex is among the most mentioned companies across news items over the past four hours, according to Factiva data. The Spanish fashion major posted a strong set of results, with second-quarter sales of EUR9.24 billion that beat market expectations and organic growth of 14% between Aug. 1 and Sept. 11. Adjusted earnings before interest and taxes climbed to EUR1.68 billion and were 5% ahead of consensus. The company continues to expect a stable gross margin plus or minus 50 basis points for the full-year, although it sees a stronger hit to full-year earnings from swings in foreign exchange markets.
