Coca-Cola, Pernod Ricard to Launch Ready-To-Drink Cocktail
By Giulia Petroni
Coca-Cola and Pernod Ricard are set to launch a ready-to-drink cocktail made with vodka brand Absolut and sparkling soft drink Sprite starting early next year.
The cocktail will be initially launched in some European countries, including the U.K., the Netherlands, Spain and Germany, the drink makers said on Monday.
"We are expanding in the alcohol ready-to-drink space, including products that use select brands from our core portfolio," said Coca-Cola's Chief Executive James Quincey.
The pre-mixed cocktail will contain about 5% alcohol, though that will vary depending on the market, according to the companies. They will also sell a version with Sprite with no sugar.
