Trending: Iberdrola Makes $2.5 Billion Bid for Avangrid
09:57 ET -- Iberdrola is one of the most mentioned companies in the U.S. across all news items in the last 12 hours, according to Factiva data. The Spanish electric utility made an offer to take full ownership in subsidiary Avangrid for about $2.49 billion, in a bid to boost its exposure to the U.S. Avangrid houses Iberdrola's U.S. renewable-energy assets as well as electric and natural-gas utilities.
