Saint-Gobain, OMV Petrom Sign Renewable Electricity Supply Agreement in Romania
By Mauro Orru
Saint-Gobain signed a renewable electricity supply agreement with OMV Petrom in Romania.
The French constructions-materials supplier said Thursday that the five-year agreement covers the purchase of green electricity from wind and photovoltaic sources. OMV Petrom will provide roughly 800 gigawatt hours of green electricity throughout the contract's lifespan.
Saint-Gobain didn't disclose financial details for the contract, which it said would start in January 2026.
