Maersk's Truck and Rail Operations Hit by Floods in Germany
By Dominic Chopping
Maersk's truck and rail operations are currently being affected by heavy floods in the south of Germany, the company said Wednesday.
"The heavy flooding has resulted in train cancellations, road closures, and train stoppages, consequently impacting our truck and rail operations on both import and export side," it said in an advisory to clients.
Maersk added that as the situation is expected to continue it is difficult to predict the full impact.
