Maersk Warns of Delays Amid Severe Weather Along South African Coast
By Dominic Chopping
A.P. Moeller-Maersk warned that ships operating along the South African coast will probably be affected by extreme weather in the area that is forecast over the next few days.
The Danish shipping giant said in an advisory to clients on Monday that strong winds, high waves and heavy rain are expected, especially between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth, which will likely lead to delays as vessels are forced to seek shelter and alter their course to avoid the area.
