Surgery Partners Receives Acquisition Interest, Bloomberg Reports
-- Buyout firm TPG and health-insurance company UnitedHealth Group have separately expressed interest in acquiring Surgery Partners, Bloomberg reported, citing people with knowledge of the matter.
-- The healthcare services holding company is also receiving interest from other private equity firms and strategic bidders, the report said.
-- Deliberations are in early stages, and there's no certainty there will be an acquisition, according to Bloomberg.
-- Representatives for Bain and TPG declined to comment to Bloomberg, while the report said representatives for UnitedHealth and Surgery Partners didn't immediately respond to requests for comment.
