ABB to Buy Emissions Monitor Foedisch

By Pierre Bertrand

ABB said it will acquire measurement and analytical solutions provider Foedisch Group, boosting the Switzerland-based technology company's continuous emission monitoring systems.

The deal allows ABB to widen its portfolio and increase its competitiveness in technology and innovation, the company said.

Foedisch is headquartered in Germany and has facilities in Germany, the Netherlands and China. Its analyzer and dust solutions help companies track their emissions with applications for the energy and industrial sectors.

The technology is used in power plants, waste incineration facilities and in the paper, glass and cement industries, ABB said.

Foedisch generated about 50 million euros ($55.8 million) in revenue in 2023, ABB said.

The acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to be finalized before the end of the year, ABB said. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.
