JetBlue Airways to open its first premium customer lounges in New York and Boston

Airline says it is responding to growing demand for 'premium' perks
JetBlue Airways Corp. said Thursday it plans to open its first airport lounges, starting with an 8,000-square-foot space in John F. Kennedy International Airport's Terminal 5 in 2025, to be followed by an 11,000-square-foot space in Boston Logan International Airport's Terminal C.
The airline said the move was prompted by "growing demand for premium offerings." JetBlue said it plans to offer lounge access to its TrueBlue Mosaic members.
It is also planning to launch a new premium credit card, with the lounges as a perk.
The airline's transatlantic Mint customers will also have access to the lounges.
JetBlue's stock (JBLU) was up 2.2% on Thursday. The stock has risen 5.3% in 2024, while the S&P 500 SPX has advanced by 19.8%.
