Vontier Named to TIME's World's Most Sustainable Companies 2024 List (Graphic: Business Wire)
The World's Most Sustainable Companies 2024 were selected based on a four-step process that considered over twenty key indicators. Vontier’s CDP score, alignment with GRI and SASB, emissions and energy intensity, employee turnover, and worker safety were included in the analysis. Out of the thousands of companies that were eligible for the award, only 500 are recognized on the list with fewer than 25% (115 total) of them headquartered in the United States.
“Sustainability and Vontier are inextricably linked. For Vontier to be recognized as a global leader in this space is incredibly special to me and the thousands of others in our organization who make the world a more sustainable place at work each and every day,” says Katie Rowen, SVP & Chief Administrative Officer at Vontier.
Vontier recently released their annual Sustainability Report, highlighting key ESG achievements and commitments. Highlights from the report include:
- Best-in-class key safety metrics: a Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) of .36, representing a year-over-year 36% reduction; and the early achievement of its 2026 goal for Days Away Restricted Time (DART), with a rate of .21, representing a 47% year-over-year reduction
- Increased representation of women in leadership globally to 32% from 29%
- Increased representation of ethnic or racial minorities in U.S. leadership to 27% from 24%
- Signed on to the United Nations Global Compact “Forward Faster” initiative
- Achieved a 20% year-over-year reduction in absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions, and a cumulative 40% reduction in absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions from its 2020 base year
