Ecolab Sets 4Q Guidance in Line With Market Consensus
By Dean Seal
Ecolab provided fourth-quarter earnings guidance that was in line with analyst forecasts.
The water, hygiene and infection-prevention services company said it expects adjusted earnings, which strip out one-time items, of $1.48 to $1.58 a share for the fourth quarter.
Analysts surveyed by FactSet had been projecting $1.49 a share.
Ecolab said it expects to deliver more price growth, volume growth and gross margin expansion to hit that target. Special one-time charges during the fourth quarter, largely related to restructuring, are expected to be about 9 cents a share.
The outlook comes after third-quarter adjusted earnings came in 2 cents above the consensus estimate of analysts polled by FactSet.
