Some BP Investors Want BAE's Chief as CEO, Sky News Reports
-- Some of BP's largest shareholders have urged the company to target BAE Systems' Chief Executive Charles Woodburn as its next CEO, Sky News reports, citing unnamed sources.
-- The investors see Woodburn as a suitable candidate given his successful six-and-a-half year tenure leadership in the U.K. defense and earlier career at the oilfield services companies Schlumberger and Expro Group, according to Sky News.
-- It remains unclear if Woodburn had been formally approached by BP and his receptiveness to an approach.
-- Neither BP nor BAE were immediately available for comment.
