Altria Group Sets New $1 Billion Stock Buyback

Altria Group's board has approved a new $1 billion stock-buyback program.
The Richmond, Va., cigarette giant, which sports a market capitalization topping $71 billion, on Thursday said it expects to complete the repurchase by the end of the year.
Altria spent $1 billion in 2023 to buy back 22.7 million shares.
