Airbus Helicopters, LCI Partner to Address Industry Challenges
By Andrea Figueras
Airbus said its helicopter division has teamed up with aviation company LCI to address the capacity, sustainability and financing requirements of the industry.
The European plane maker anticipates demand for over 16,000 new helicopters by 2041, with a combined value approaching $130 billion, it said.
The partnership between Airbus Helicopter and LCI is aimed at collaborating to identify the infrastructure and financial innovations required to address this demand.
The companies recently outlined a collaboration agreement to develop advanced air mobility ecosystems. "Going forward, it will also include investment in further helicopter units, types and technologies, with a growing emphasis around sustainability," Airbus said.
