CGI Taps Francois Boulanger as Next CEO
By Adriano Marchese
CGI has appointed Francois Boulanger to be the new chief executive, succeeding George Schindler who is set to retire at the end of September.
The Canadian IT consultant and software developer said Wednesday that Boulanger will take over the reins on Oct. 1.
Boulanger has been with CGI for two decades, the company said. He is currently the company's chief operating officer for operations in Canada, U.S. commercial and state government, Asia Pacific global delivery centers, and global IP solutions.
Schindler has been CEO for the past eight years after serving as operations chief since 2015, when he led the company's global operations.
He will continue to serve on the board serving as strategic advisor to Serge Godin, the company's founder and executive chairman, for a transition period.
