Supply Chains of LMVH and Several Other Fashion Brands Face Probe in Italy, Reuters Reports
--Milan prosecutors and Italian police are investigating the supply chains of around a dozen fashion brands after a unit of LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton in Italy was placed under court administration in a worker exploitation probe, Reuters reports, citing unnamed sources.
--An investigation into four of the French luxury conglomerate's suppliers based in the surroundings of Milan found illegal working conditions for staff, according to Reuters.
--Prosecutors claimed that employees worked long hours, and some of them slept where they worked or didn't have regular contracts, Reuters reports.
--LVMH didn't immediately respond to a request for comment by Dow Jones Newswires.
